Although I never knew Ruthanne very personally I knew that she was a big part of Nick and his families life. I hope all go's well for the Simmons-Stern family and hope that they can overcome this obstacle of all of thier lives. And also, I hope that Ruthanne will Rest In Peace, you will always be remembered.

I am Bob's cousin and unfortunately I did not get to know Ruthanne. But i have heard wonderful things thru my relatives and heard about her medical career. And now I have read the memory pages. What a wonderful woman!!!I am so sorry for your loss Bobby. I love you.

Ruthanne was special. In her all-too-brief lifetime she was able to shower others with more of her special caring and warmth than most people accomplish in a much longer span. We will always remember her sunshine smile, her concern for others, and her meteoric career. We count ourselves lucky to have known her since her birth. Her smile lit up the room even then. And later, when she became the consultant to whom I sent my problem glaucoma patients, it always gave me extra pleasure to be able to sincerely recommend an ophthalmologist whom we had known from such early times.
Our hearts go out to Bob, Nick, and Laura, and to Dick and Anne. May they find in these memories of Ruthanne a celebration of a life that was dear to all of us.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Bob, Nick, and Laura. Though we did not know Ruthanne well, her intelligence, grace, warmth, and humor were evident to us. Most of our contact has been with Nick, who reflects the wonderful qualities Ruthanne and Bob have given him. Ruthanne and her courage have touched our lives, and her entire family has taught us life lessons we will carry with us always.
